Tropical TrilogyDreaming of this....but...
The reality is very different.
A busy week lies ahead.
No sand or sun in our future.
Homeschool Evaluations.
Candle Making.
Landscape Jobs.
A Friend's Graduation.
Chauffer Duties.
All good things.
Just all at the same time.
Wishing you a week
that is calm
and serene.
See you soon.

i haven't had to do the evaluations for several years.. testing anyway. we have done summary reports for the last few years. next year noah will have to be formally tested, but he'll be my only "official" homeschooler after this year, so that will make things quite a bit easier☺
what kind of evals do you all have to do in your state?
No sand on sun in my upcoming week too. (calling for rain) But it's nice to dream...It sounds like you are going to have a very busy week. Hope all goes smoothly for you...Blessings, Jill
Actually..my sister and her 5 delightful children are coming over for a few days..and yes..I mean it when I say they are delightful....she is going to help me paint furniture and make laundry soap and I have some projects planned to do with the kids...she will homeschool while she is at my house..so yes..it will be busy too...but WONDERFUL, to me at least...
Sometimes it's good just to dream...even if the dreams can't come true just now... ;o) Happy week, Becky! ((HUGS))
We do have Sun and Sand in our future - but next week!
As you know this is a big week for us...we have evals too and then Lindsay's graduation! So exciting and still so much to do!
Just a regular ole week for me!
Hope you take time to 'smell the roses' now & then during your busy, busy week!
Blessings,
Carol
Hang in there Becky, I like where your mind went, even if your body will be busy with other duties.

This is very busy week for me too!!
Diane...You asked what we have to do in PA?
Each year we file an affadavit that states our intention to homeschool. We also must file objectives of the things we will cover in that school year.
In grades 3,5 and 8 our children must take standardized tests.
Every year end the children are evaluated by a certified teacher to ensure that they are making progress in their work. I prepare a portfolio to take to this evaluation...it makes it easier to document the progress. Some School Districts want to see these portfolios. Mine doesn't.
More interference than I would like, but it makes me do the Portfolio which I love to look back to. If I wasn't forced to do it, I would likely always have great intentions. The kids would still get the education but I wouldn't have an organized way to review it. So, there you have it.
