Blues From the Corner Cupboard
Enjoy these blues and more! You can see more blue posts
when you visit Smiling Sally's Blog.
Warren's Grandma Charlotte treasured this
cupboard and many of the things in it.
It was not unusual to visit her
and be treated to stories of many
of the items kept inside.
I am honored to have been trusted
with this very lovely and very old
cupboard.
I have a cold and did not take
the time or energy to stage the
Pretties as I would have liked...
but I think they speak well for
themselves.
This interesting little cup and
saucer were carried from Europe by
my parents when they were over
there in 2005,
the year Daddy died.
I will treasure it always!
A little retro find from a yard
sale last year.
The teapot from a set that
has a lot of history.
Something that involves The World
Fair in Chicago and Mr. JC Penney.
Blues among the glass...
Come back Wednesday to see the Outdoor Wednesday Post
about our blog meet at Longwood Gardens. I have decided to make
you wait because I can't imagine a better Outside Wednesday this
week. We had a blast...even on a less than perfect "weather" day.

Th cupboard is just stunning! I can almost feel how heavy and solid its wooden doors are!
The cupboard that you inherited is so special. I love the pretty blue transferware pots. I too am waiting for Wednesday. So very nice to meet you. I told my DH that we must have already met you before at the wedding. Small world.
Very pretty items in the special cupboard. Hearing their histories make them even more special.
You have a lot of blue pretties! I am interested in the notched shelf... was that done as a design or for a purpose?
Terri,
That notched shelf is for holding spoons. You just slide the handle in.
TY for visiting my blog, happy Blue Monday. I just love the cupboard and all of your blue and white dishes, so very pretty.
Talk to you soon, Have a great week,

Pretty, pretty dishes!
I get to see your gorgeous hutch often and I still adore it!
That cupboard is amazing. I just love it and all the treasures that it contains. My mom had that set of dishes...the retro pitcher. We (my sister and I) made her sell it in yard sale twenty years ago. Oh my. Wish we had it today.
Looking forward to Wednesday!
So many gorgeous blues, and all so varied! I love the cupboard, too. I am a big corner-cupboard fan.

So many lovely blues! I like those plates the best. Happy Blue Monday!
Very nice "Blues" that you have, and special memories too.
I'll try and post my pictures too on Wednesday...the cold must be from us walking around in the misty wet weather...But the grounds were still lovely. My step-Mother was admitted to the hospital, and I just came from taking my Mother to the doctors. The Mothers and Grandchildren are keeping me busy...so I hope I find the time to post...Have a good day...

Becky, first feel better. I love all the little things and the stories to go with them in your corner cupboard. I had lunch today with a GA blogger but we have no photos but we had fun chatting and laughing. I can't wait to see your photos and I hope I can meet you when I come up north. Now go and have some chicken soup and get better. You are in my prayers.
