Busch Gardens

We spent the afternoon at Busch Gardens yesterday.

I didn't realize how many large animals
there were to see...







At one point while studying the map
I said very seriously,
"We have got to
find Timbuktu!"
A woman passing by broke out in huge
grin. It made me think about what
I had just said...so after that we enjoyed
going to Timbuktu... and back again...



The rest of the family enjoyed the rides.
I am a party pooper on that front.



But that leaves someone to hold loose
objects and take pictures!



One ride I thoroughly enjoy...
The Merry-go-round.

as our last ride of the day...

Finally, as we were leaving the
park, Mikey spotted this bird on
a railing nearby. He insisted that
I get a picture.

The bird literally posed for me.
They are that tame.
Mikey was right.
Great photo opp.

So...we are spending the weekend with
some family near Tampa.
The kids are having a blast with their
second cousins while Warren and I catch
up with their parents.

Back to the adventures of vacation come
Monday...

I just wanted to recommend to you that
if you are looking into purchasing tickets
for Busch Gardens and Seaworld that you make
sure to look at the options for combo tickets.

We saved a bundle by doing this and can go
into either park (unlimited) for 14 days.

It was $89 per person.

After checking out many options for
parks and other sites...this was the most
economical way to go and we will be
enjoying both parks for the rest of our
time here.

Also, almost every picture on these vacation
posts will enlarge if you click on them.

I hated to tell you that for some...but for
the animal and plant photos it is so neat to
see more detail.
