And So it Begins!
We took this picture at approximately 4:15am this morning.
You will see more of Pikachu (the funny yellow critter)
as he will be our vacation mascot.
He will be visiting many of the sites we do.
Mikey was goofing around for the picture.
He is ready to see
some sites and get a feel for
things here in the South!
The last time the kids were here
Chelsea was two. So, she doesn't
remember anything. The boys can
remember a little bit.
The drive went well.
It was fun to see the
green grass and the flowers
coming out on the trees as we
came through South Carolina.
At a Rest Stop we saw a little
dog that reminded us of our Chloe.
We miss her already!
Editing, (Tuesday Morning), to add a photo from our
"Hotel Party"...
This is a family tradition when heading
out on any vacation. One night in a
hotel with pizza and lots of other junk food.
It amused us that the kids liked this so much
as my parents have always blessed us with
"Time Share" Accomodations.
Still some of the kids favorite memories were
the tiny hotel rooms and party!
We stopped at Dominos and KFC for some favorites.
Then a quick stop by Walgreens for discounted
Valentine's candy and tissues for the two sick
(with colds) ones.
We'll be back with fun
pictures tomorrow evening.
We are very glad to be done with
the worst of the driving!
Our hotel is about average...but we
chose it because it is a Suite
and all of us fit into it without it
being too snug.
This tired family says...
See You Tomorrow~

Oh, I'm behind on the fun new here! Have a safe and wonderful trip! Looking forward to highlights and photos! :o) Thanks so much for your uplifting comment at my place, Becky--I really appreciated it. I had to let Charlie do the post...my brain is snow-logged from all the snow lately--LOL! Happy Travels! ((HUGS))
What is a road trip without snacks? I always use that as an excuse for chips, etc. It sure beats the high priced vending machines in hotels. We eat while driving, too. The litter bags fills quickly. Have a wonderful safe trip.
Looking forward to seeing your mascot (and you) on vacation!
Have fun on your trip and I look forward to more pictures!
Having you post about your vacation day-to-day while you're on vacation makes me feel like I'm right there with you. By the way, I love the Pikachu pictures in the next post. It reminds me of "Flat Stanley" :)
Sorry there are sickies on a family vacation but oh so thankful you picked up tissue infused with lotion. I know that box! :o)
