Truth In Advertising....

I cracked myself up today as I took
photos of a new tea cup candle, or three.

You know so many times we crop, prop
and work so hard to show a photo that,
while technically true, is not a complete
picture of what is happening in our homes.

Such was the case with these photos.
So, I decided to go ahead and show you
why I had to laugh.

Just to the left....bags of lids for the jar candles
and some large glassware that still needs
to find a permanent place to live.

Immediately to the right....Salt, fake salt and more.

Only friends get to see all of this mess
so I guess you know you are officially at friend status.
No longer acquaintances to be impressed,
but friends to see the good and
the bad here at Hospitality Lane.

So then I needed a bit more height.
What was I to do???

Hey! It solved the problem.
Now you can see more of the beautiful
flowers sent by the wonderful folks

Now, you will never see this kind of "behind the scenes" stuff
on the candle website...but you awesome
friends have been "treated" to the real
truth in advertising for candles at
Hospitality Lane.

Hey, the camera doesn't lie.
It is all perfect!!!!
Right?

There is always a solution every problem. Sometimes it takes a little longer to fix. I loved having tea even with your mess.

Oh, this has me laughing too, Becky! This looks exactly like my dining room when I'm doing "photo shoots" for my shop... What the photos don't reveal happening in the background would surprise...LOL! LOVE your teacup candles. It's great to be back here catching up with you after being away a few days MIA and being unwell... Happy Days ((HUGS))

OMGOSH! Love your post. I'm still smiling ;-) Often times I have thought 'I should show what my place really looks like' instead of the dreamy photos of what I wish it looked like.
Thanks for sharing a real piece of yourself. LOVE IT! and love the pretty new candles and beautiful flowers too.
Midweek Blessings ;-)

Good Morning Becky Sweetie...
Oh I LOVE this post. To cute for sure. Isn't it funny what we do to get these perfect pictures?

I love your teacup candles. How real it looks to me. So inviting to the table. Your flowers are so fragrant and beautiful, and that tablecloth, I love the flowers along with your teacups. I will have to remember that clue about the height. I hadn't thought of that one. Perfect Picture tho.

Have a beautiful blessed day sweet friend. Many hugs and so much love, Sherry

You crack me up! Yep, it's all perfect-the pics prove it.

I'm glad to see the flowers-I didn't know quite what you'd get when I ordered them.

Have fun seeing Joseph today. If only I weren't 10 hours away-you know I'd join you!

LOL! This is so funny! I KNEW I wasn't the only one with a kitchen table like this. Thanks for making me feel at home. ;)

Oh Becky, I'm sure most of us shove all the "real life" stuff out of the way when taking dreamy, lovely pictures for blog posts! The rings on the table, the piles of mail on the counter, the dog hair on the couch. It all goes away magically in blogland, doesn't it! Thanks for keeping it real for us today! haha!

Hi Becky, the candles are sooooo lovely! So graceful. I love your 'other' pictures and that happens to me just about all the time. I am laughing because life is really funny...if you truly think about it.

Blessings and hugs,
Barb ♥

So cute! I do the same thing, trying to hide the overflowing trash can or the dirty dishes in the sink!

Lol, I thought you were going to say that the tea was real and you'd just stuck wicks in there. It looks like a very real cup of tea, bubbles and all.
Blessings,
Marcia

Ah, clutter, gotta love it! Most of us, at least those of us who homeschool, have it.

Love the teacup candles! I may have to buy one or two.

Great photos. What a fun post.
