Branson Finale....

This is one of my favorite things about Branson.
The limestone walls.
Although it makes it unlikely for homes here to have basements.
That would be a huge sacrifice for me.
What would I do for storage?

The Duttons!
The only show I saw twice.
Mom and I went alone one evening and then we took
Warren and Chelsea back.

I think they should do two separate shows ....
one for fun and one full of serious classical music,
The instrumental talent in this family is
amazing!!

The Dad/Grandad ...a former economics professor... sings a serious song
about being a lawman while his grandchildren
get the smiles.

After the little policeman drives away this little sweetheart puts her head down on the steering
wheel in sad despair.
All is made right when the next little guy brings her a lollipop.
A very cute way to bring the next generation into the show.

The one serious classical piece of the show.
I could listen and listen and listen.

That evening we also went out to look for
signs remembering Andy Williams.
We found just a few....

A quick addition to our agenda happened on Saturday
before we left EARLY on Sunday.
Mom and I went to see IT.
This show is performed by the
Hughes family.
So glad we squeezed it in.
They are amazing vocalists!
Here again you'll find a show that includes
multiple generations.
This is pretty much what the original Hughes brothers
looked like when they got started...
but these are their children.

Branson is known for its Patriotism.
Every show includes a tribute to our wonderful veterans and the country they served.
I was so moved each and every time our veterans were honored in a show.
Seeing them stand and knowing what they represented....
Wow!
Let us not forget....
and many are serving us even now.

That's a wrap on the shows we saw.
I'll have to look at my camera card to see how photos of our return trip
and the Tenth Avenue North Concert turned out.
I haven't gotten that far yet.

If there is anything good
I'll be sure to share.

My husband would just LOVE to go to Branson for the shows....never thought of it being from Upstate New York and he from NY City. I guess we have to widen our horizons! Thanks for sharing your trip with us.

Have never heard of Branson, but it looks like a fun place to visit. Is it kinda like Nashville?

What a fun post! We have always thought we might get to Branson someday! This just reinforces that thought. Sorry Andy Williams is gone - I heard his Christmas show was next to none.

I've enjoyed being able to tag along on your vacation.

We've never been to Branson so it's been fun to see everything you've been sharing.

Beautiful pictures! Sounds like it was a great little trip :) And I agree about getting the younger generation into the show... awesome. Although, personally, I think my little ones would much rather see the Fresh Beat Band :)
