I have a lot of limes.
Purchased in bulk to take a photo for
a candle label.
The ginger lime candle
needed a face lift.
Ahhh.....
Then the question came up....
What are we going to do with all of
these limes?
My Facebook friends gave
a bunch of
suggestions.
So far from that long list we have
used two.
I used the juice of a lime in the
cooking of chicken for
enchiladas.
Chelsea used the juice of three
limes in the making of an amazing
lime pie thanks to my friend, Nelly.
Our friend, Johnny, ate one
lime by juicing it,
I think,
He was surprised at the intensity.
We still have a lot of limes.
We still have a lot of suggestions to work through.
I think its all good!
And I love the look of these fresh limes
on the candle label which was my goal
in the first place.
So the rest is a bonus, right?
Edited to add:
Speaking of bonus...
After posting this I found that my
friend Vee wrote an entire post about
some candles I asked her to test.
A.whole.post!
Wow...
that was so generous.
I hope you'll stop by and say hello.
Vee is a breath of fresh air.

Right. It's all good. I just love your new waterproof labels. They are wonderful!
The color is so pretty and so is the label:) Have a blessed day and hope you find some more uses for the leftover limes! HUGS!

And VEE is the reason, that I popped over here. Becky, you are such a sweetheart, to try out new scents, like that!
I could just sit down and cry. Because all this reminds me, that I can no longer enjoy scented candles. Because of allergies, creeping up on me, in my 'Olden' years. Oh sigh... Oh sob... Oh whimper...
I used to love scented candles, so much!
But, guess I just have to be glad that I still have a nose, to smell all the things, which I can still smell and enjoy. :-)

You can make guacamole but then you'll need some chips (bad) or strips of chicken or beef for quesadillas (plus a little cheese, salsa, sour cream)
The pictures are gorgeous and that was the intent. The rest is "interest".
How about juicing them and freezing the juice in an icecube tray for future use in recipes.
Make limeade!
I love the new labels and the fresh look of the new labels!

He he, Becky, I am so glad Chelsea made that pie recipe work. Thanks for the unexpected mention :)

I actually came here because of Vee's post. I love what you did with the fireplace scent in the mug candle.
I have been here for a few minutes and already know that I would love to read more so I'm following.
The new photo is great!
I am also thirsty now for some limeade, especially since my mom often boils ginger root and adds some of that to it. *sigh* Lime pie sounds good right now, too.
