Oh Vee, It Took All Evening.....

Searching through post after post to find four photos
that have some kind of a theme and that are all
worthy of being a note card on their own.

I would find a post with one good photo
and then the rest in the post would be
just o.k.

Finally,
I've come up with these.
Photos of scenes from our travels.

Longwood Gardens - Kennett Square, Pa.

Powhatan Plantation - Williamsburg, Va.

Baltimore's Inner Harbor
The Countryside in Kentucky

Now that I am on this theme there are many more photos that come to mind.
Maybe next time?

This post is part of a Blog Party hosted by my friend, Vee,
Feel free to click on over and enjoy the various entries.
Bloggers are sooooo creative.
I hesitate to go and look at what others have come up
with because it always puts me to shame.
But it is great for learning.

What happened during my search this evening?
Well, I saw most of Biggest Loser, The Voice and
whatever it was that came on after that.
While all of that was going on
Mikey and Jonathan came home to announce
that Mikey had gotten to make his first
skydive.
It was mostly good.....
except for a very hard landing on his
tailbone.
OUCH!
So glad that was the worst of it.

Warren and our friend, Denny, are downstairs
working on a special event for church on Sunday.
More on that later.

Also, while I've been seeking photos.....
Chelsea came home from work,
got a shower and wished I would be available
to watch a movie with her.
Now she is nearly asleep in the recliner
right beside me.
Guess I'll go chat with her a bit.

Are you kidding me? These are terrific! Thank you for strolling through your blog all evening for the cause. I love them all, but that ship photo is taken from a striking angle. Love it!

Gorgeous photos!! Love the flowers and the ship masts best...I think... Oh my goodness, I am so glad that the landing wasn't worse...and I'm so glad that both of my girls are chickens.

You picked out wonderful photos, Becky! I'm with Vee in that the ship photo is my favorite --I lve the angle and lighting in it.

Even though it took all evening, you ended up with some stunning photos. I really like the one with the masts reaching up to the sky.

All of that time spent searching for photos paid off as they are all lovely and make a wonderful theme. Now I want to pack my bags and take a vacation :).

Becky, These shots are great!! Frankly, I think they would be wonderful postcards...you could print "Wish You Were Here" across the front of any one of them. The tulips are particularly sweet.

I totally understand...it is difficult to find 4 cards, with some kind of theme that are photo worthy!

Well, I can certainly relate to the whole evening scenario...but I am slow at almost everything!

Time notwithstanding, you have some amazing photographs here! Although the ship with masts silhouetting against the sky is my favorite, they are all beautiful.

My favorite is the countryside in Kentucky -- I love the contrast of the earth with the sky:)
