Goodbye, Sweet Tigger

Sixteen years ago my brother
gave us a kitten. One he got
from a farmer friend.
She had been born during the
blizzard of March 1993.

We named her Tigger.
I happen to love Winnie
the Pooh. Tigger is a
great character!

I don't really recall how it
came about but we gave Tigger
back to Allan after he got
married. I think it had something
to do with the farmhouse they were
living in at the time and a
wish to keep the mouse population
down.

Anyway...just last month in a quick
trip to Allan and Bev's I took these
photos of Tigger.

Yesterday, Tigger passed away.

So, while it wasn't that long ago
that I posted these...I think that
a cat that was such a part of the
family for all of these sixteen years
deserves to be remembered...
just a little.

Sweet Tigger.

Sending thoughts to Allan and
Bev...very excellent kitty parents!!
I know you will miss her.

I agree, pets are a part of our families. We have lost 2 dogs & one cat through the years & we were so sad.

Hugs,
Carol

We had a cat named Tigger when I was growing up - it used to bounce everywhere as a kitten!

So sad - are they going to get Tidbit?

Mrs. Rabe...

We have talked about that. I am willing, if they want her. We will give it some time and see what happens.

Tidbit would love living there. She would be so spoiled. I would love getting to see her sometimes.

Aww, i'm sorry to hear about Tigger. That's neat that you got to see her and take those great photos not too long ago.
Sixteen years is a long time and i'm sure she will be greatly missed.

I was sorry to hear about Tigger. I used to have a cat named Tigger, too. My Bustopher is 16 years old, too.

I have the same font on my blog!

Oh Becky! I am sorry to hear about Tigger. Remember tho cats have 9 lives, so he will be back. There may be another storm that will bring him back to you in another form. Funnier things have happened. I am sorry he had to pass on, but he touched your life along the way and for that you must be thankful. Prayers to you all. Please stop by and say hi. It is good to recognize the valuable role that our pets play in our lives. Sometimes they make life and death differences. (And I do believe that all kitties go to Heaven.)

Our Storm Girl was 16 when she passed away two years ago (hard to believe it has been two year).

Just last night I was talking to my daughter about something that reminded us of her (she could snear just like Elvis!). Tears started coming, along with laughter.

I agree with Vee. All kitties do go to Heaven, at least those of us who brought us such love.

Becky I'm so sorry about Tigger. I'm shedding tears on his sweet behalf. I believe one day God will arrange for our beloved pets to be with us again...I don't know how He'll do that...but I believe He will.
