Blues and a Mosaic From a Summer Picnic

A Blue Monday Post.
See The Smiling Sally Blog
for more blues today.

Some of our church family
went to a Park near the Safe Harbor Dam
for an evening of fellowship.
It is possible that some of us might
have been there for the hot dogs
and burgers on the grill. Or maybe it
was Georgia's cake...
but nonetheless we were
there and fun was had.

Most of these photos have some blue
in them somewhere...If you can't see
it you just aren't looking hard enough...

Miss Sarah has just celebrated her
7th birthday. To read about that you
can see her sister's brand new blog here.

Nicholas is a climber...
but his Mom, Kelly, of Cozy Comforts
Blog,
loves to
take photos too, so he stopped
and waved when asked.

I don't know what this game is called
but I do know that it entertained quite
nicely.

While the energetic ones
of our group hiked through
the woods, Warren and I sat by the
water. We enjoyed the beauty and
tranquility.

The young people really do
enjoy spending time together.
It is great to see them mingle
with all ages in the group.

More than once the older children
were taking turns pushing the younger
ones on the swings. This brought
many smiles.

One of the men tossed a football
with Mikey.
Hope it comes down soon.

Mom's dog, Bear, loved all of the
attention he received!

I love this picture of a happy
Georgia. My Mother-in-law loves
being outside. This was ideal
for her. So lovely.

Too soon it was time to head
home. The sky was the deep blue
that comes with the early dusk.

Perhaps we could stop time with
a trick of the camera?
Alas, no.
But, perhaps we will return
another day to continue this
wonderful adventure.

My offering for Mosaic Monday...
A few more pictures from the picnic.
Chelsea must have taken this one of
Warren. I love it.

Please visit Mary at Little Red House
for some very creative and beautiful mosaics.

It is wonderful to see a church family having fun together! Your daughter took a very nice picture of her dad...he must smile a special way when she's taking his pic. I think this one should find its way to a frame.

awww.. I really enjoyed that♥

It made me want to go on a picnic with friends, out by the water somewhere. Our friends from church had a bonfire last night. The kids wanted to go, but this mama was too tired.... now I'm thinking I should have gone after all. And it's all your fault!!!

just kiddin';) Have a sweet day dear♥

Looks like everyone had fun. Last night we had an outdoor church service at a local park in town. Dessert was served before the service. We even took Caesar with us. It was such a success that they may do it more often. Of course the weather was perfect.

BTW, I scrolled down and read your older post. I see where the grandmothers are not going on their mission trip. We do want them to be safe and not ending up martyrs. Maybe later somewhere else.
