This whole political season, I've vacillated between avoiding coverage at all costs, and being disgusted with what I was seeing. Your perspective has me looking at it with fresh eyes, and perhaps understanding why someone would vote for a person I couldn't bring myself to support.J. One of Trump's strengths is that he has promised to "drain the swamp" of political corruption. I am praying that his team will include wise people to know how to accomplish things, and I pray he grows in his faith and wisdom.Terra https://www.blogger.com/profile/04396481049075747940noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6696888066087897864.post-66920594049468274062016-11-10T10:53:39.093-05:002016-11-10T10:53:39.093-05:00I am praying for our Country to come together and ...I am praying for our Country to come together and support our newly elected President🙏🏼. We must be in prayer for the changing of hearts....or at least for a willingness to try to work together. I believe we have been given a reprieve for this next four years. I hope we do the best we can with it.Becky K.https://www.blogger.com/profile/10531485758141842829noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6696888066087897864.post-75927412754491306912016-11-10T09:46:44.337-05:002016-11-10T09:46:44.337-05:00This is so well written, Becky.

But I looked at the choices, I looked at what the party platforms were, I looked at all the things, and I prayed! In the end I came to the conclusion that for any real change to happen for the people of America, it was going to have to start with someone 'outside' the entrenched DC crowd.

I'm hopeful, and looking forward to some real change. The other side really believe in their ideology and I believe it is time for us to stand up for ours!

We read Trump's website yesterday with the list on what they'd like to accomplish in their first 100 days! Man! It's great! Praying that they will be able to accomplish some of it, at least!
Deanna Rabe - Creekside Cottage Bloghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16133684514103206137noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6696888066087897864.post-55333500843660630812016-11-10T09:13:07.111-05:002016-11-10T09:13:07.111-05:00well said dear friend. well said.

I was on board much sooner than perhaps you were because I recognized a likeminded person in Trump from about the second week. It's going to be quite an experience; it already has been. I found myself feeling sorry that John, who was such a supporter of this unlikely candidate, did not get the opportunity to vote for him. He would have been so proud. No less than a half dozen people have told me that they began paying closer attention when John began chatting with them concerning this election. That blesses me.

Thank you for a cogent, positive piece on this election. It stands above all others I have read in Blogdom.
